A world, where the Cold War between the capitalist and socialist camps developed along alternate paths, and these paths led to the Soviet Union being the only remaining world superpower. This is how the ‘Cursed Days’ Mod was born.īut what is it about? It is about a world on the brink of a new millennium. And there is no game which is more suited for the exploration of such questions, than Hearts of Iron. And people began to ponder: Could it have been any different? If so, then how would Earth look today? What if the USSR had not ceased to exist? What if the Cold War had ended differently? And what could have happened for it to end so? These are the exact questions that we began asking ourselves. Less than 30 years ago, one of such cataclysms took place. The closer we get to the present, the more evident the residue, left by political, economical and ecological cataclysms becomes.
